About me

Lily Shalev

(M.A., R.C.C.)
Senior Clinical Counsellor

Life’s changes can bring both challenge and possibility. I offer a compassionate space to explore those in-between moments where growth, clarity, and self-trust can begin to take root.

I value deep therapeutic work that provides multi-facetted layers to your healing journey, rather than short term therapy to provide a quick fix. Together we can make sense of your experiences, deepen self-understanding, and move toward a life that feels more aligned with your authentic self and values.

Who I Work Best With

My clients often work with me on parenting, identity, self-exploration, and big life changes. No matter the focus, our work is about helping you feel more grounded, connected, and supported in creating the life you want. They understand that growth is a journey requiring patience, persistence, and openness to the process—not just the destination.

My clients come to explore their relationships, especially the places where they feel stuck, or to navigate life transitions that call for new skills and tools. They are willing to take small risks, try new things, and learn from both successes and challenges. With an open mind and curiosity, they value exploring new ideas, experiences, and even fantasies as part of creating the life they want for themselves.

What it’s like to Work with Me

I see people as inherently capable of growth and evolution. Nothing is “too much” for us to explore together, because everything you bring is human and worthy of care. In our sessions, we will move together through the emotions that come up, learning to appreciate and grow from them. We will also pay attention to the wisdom of the body and make space for humor, which is always welcome to help lighten the process and remind us of joy.

What sets my practice apart is a combination of curiosity, creativity, and a non-judgmental stance, along with a deep appreciation for connection and authenticity. In working with me you will feel safe to be curious about yourself, take risks, and begin accepting all parts of who you are. My style is direct yet warm and patient, always adapting to each client's pace and needs.

The human behind the therapist

I live with my partner and our three wonderful kids. Being a parent has taught me so much, and I’m learning new lessons every day. I especially enjoy how my children lead me to new experiences and places, allowing me to follow along and be present. I also treasure quiet moments for myself, whether it’s working out, reading, hiking or enjoying some TV. Life feels full when I can balance family, personal growth, and little adventures that remind me of what I’m capable of.
