Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to bring my own clients?
We do not require you to bring your own clients. We have an extensive marketing strategy to get you the clients you like to work with. However, we appreciate you contributing to your caseload and to get full faster we encourage thinking of our clinic for your referrals.
Is supervision included?
We offer team consultations once a month with a very talented and experienced counsellor, that is contracted from outside the team. We encourage you to have your own supervisor that is in line with the BCACC supervision standards and requirements.
When Can I Expect to have a full caseload?
Building a caseload takes time and the time it takes to get full varies with many factors. If you have high retention and session frequency we expect you to get full within 6 months. If you have average retention and session frequency you may get full in one year. The leadership team will work with you to ensure you are growing and developing your skills to reach your goals.
Can I work at other places while working with G&G?
Yes, as independent contractors you are able to work at other clinics at the same time. If growth of your own private practice is your primary goal, this may not align with our business model and vision. Please apply, so we can review to see if it fits our needs.
How much can I expect to make?
Your clinical rate depends on your level or experience and training. Working part time (15 session hours a week) you can expect to make $75,000 - $90,000 per year. If you work full time (20+ hours a week), you can expect to make between $110,000- $130,000 per year.
Are there any requirements to apply for a position with G&G?
We require our applicants to have a masters level education as well as one specialized training in an evidence based modality. We require you to be available for 15 clinical hours a week in order to build a cohesive team!
What Admin Support do you offer?
We have a clinic conceirge dedicated to support both you and your clients. You are expected to manage your client charting, session after care emails, and treatment planning. A lot of our clinicians book clients next appointments at the end of their session however we can support you with any booking or rescheduling after that.
What is your Benefits package?
As we work on an independent contractor model we do not provide formal extended benefits. However, we offer as much value to our clinicians as possible through other means of support and care such as case consultations, business growth coaching, admin support, professional development, and more!
Can I set my own hours?
Yes, you are able to set your own hours and we like to take a collaborative approach to building a schedule that works best for you. We do require some evening or weekend times to accommodate client needs and to support your practice growth but you have flexibility and choice once those requirements are met. What is your hiring process like?
We have an extensive hiring process to ensure we have top of the line clinicians who meet the requirements of our team culture! First you are to send in your application. If you are chosen to move to the next round of the interview process you will receive an online questionnaire. The final step will be to meet with the clinic owner for a conversational interview to see if we are the right fit for each other! Relevant references are required.
